Playground inspections
Routine and operational inspections carried out by us, and the independent annual arranged with an Annual-grade inspector — one point of contact for the full BS EN 1176 regime.
BS EN 1176-7 sets out three levels of inspection, each answering a different question. Run together they give you a continuous, evidenced record of your duty of care — the thing your insurer will ask for first if anything ever goes wrong.
- Routine visual — weekly The quick sweep for hazards that appear day to day: vandalism, breakage, glass, surfacing damage. Done by us, or by your own trained staff.
- Operational — every 1 to 3 months The detailed check of wear, stability, foundations and surfacing. Our core service, and where problems get caught while they are still cheap to fix.
- Annual main — yearly, independent Requires the separate RPII Annual grade, which we don't hold. We arrange it with an independent inspector unconnected to our repair work.

Which inspections do we actually need?
All three tiers, in most cases. A weekly routine visual check, an operational inspection every 1 to 3 months, and an independent annual main inspection. Insurers generally expect the full regime to be in place and documented; we can advise on the right frequency for your specific site.
Can our own staff do some of it?
Yes — the routine visual check is commonly done in-house. We can train your caretaker, groundsman or volunteer on your specific site and set them up with a simple recording routine that stands as evidence, then handle the operational tier ourselves.
How quickly do we get the report?
Within 48 hours of the visit, as a full-colour digital report. Anything high-risk is phoned through the same day rather than left to be discovered in the paperwork.
